Promoting Inventiveness with Mobile Devices

The skills inherent in inventiveness— the form of creativity leading to invention— are important skills for all students to master. The ability to brainstorm, to think in different ways, to learn to elaborate, and to produce something original, can be used in all walks of life. This workshop will provide a background to the theory of inventiveness and showcase the types of apps and tools that can be used to support this practice. The participants will participate in some “reverse engineering” projects and model the inventiveness skill set while creating projects with their device.
